Jana K. Broussard, CPA, has been promoted to an Officer and Shareholder of Henry & Peters, P.C. She joined H & P in 1999 and works primarily in the audit area, specializing in financial institutions and not for profit organizations. Prior to joining H & P, she worked for a national accounting firm in Houston and spent 15 years working in financial institutions. Mrs. Broussard is a magna cum laude graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, and holds an MBA from LeTourneau University. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a graduate of Leadership Tyler Class 16 and is the current board president of the East Texas Crisis Center. She is a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, where she works in the student ministry and serves on the finance committee. She and her husband, Larry, have three children and make their home in Tyler.

Darin C. Newhouse, CPA, has been promoted to an Officer and Shareholder of Henry & Peters, P.C. He joined Henry & Peters, P.C. in 2001 and specializes in audit, consulting and individual tax. Mr. Newhouse is a magna cum laude graduate from Abilene Christian University with a BBA degree in accounting in 1996. Prior to joining Henry & Peters, P.C., he served as a team manager in the assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, an international accounting firm. Mr. Newhouse is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of Glenwood Church of Christ, where he currently serves on the finance committee. He is married with one son, Jackson.

Kim Park, CPA has been promoted to Manager. Mrs. Park joined Henry & Peters in 2005 and specializes in tax. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1992 earning her BBA degree in accounting. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a graduate of Leadership Tyler Class 21 and teaches youth Sunday school at Green Acres Baptist Church. She is married to Russell and has two children.

Jaclyn Mize, CPA has been promoted to Manager. Mrs. Mize joined Henry & Peters in 2004 and specializes in tax. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000 earning her BBA degree in accounting. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Jaclyn is married to Michael who is a Principal at Alba Golden ISD. Jaclyn is actively involved at New Hope Baptist Church.

Whitney recently passed the CPA exam. Whitney is a 2009 graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters in Taxation. She has been employed by Henry and Peters since May 2010. She enjoys baking, going to the lake, and spending time with her husband Eric.

Trent recently passed the CPA exam. Mr. Westmoreland is a 2008 graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler with a BBA in accounting and a MBA. He has been employed by Henry & Peters since January 2009. He enjoys watching movies and spending time with his wife Amber.

Misty recently passed the CPA exam and was recently promoted to Supervisor. Mrs. de Wet is a 2003 graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler with a BBA in accounting and obtained her MBA in 2005. She has been employed by Henry & Peters since 2003. She attends Green Acres Baptist Church and enjoys jogging and spending time with her husband Frans in her free time.
Cara Calhoon, CFE/CIA attends Annual Certified Fraud Conference
Cara Calhoon, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner, recently attended the Annual Certified Fraud Examiner Conference in Las Vegas. Ms. Calhoon joined Henry & Peters in 2006 and was recently promoted to Supervisor. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Alabama and obtained her MBA in 2005 from the University of New Orleans.
Glenn, Overman, and Everitt Attend Texas Society of CPAs Meeting
Tal Glenn, CPA, Rodney Overman, CPA, and Kristy Everitt, CPA attended the June 2010 annual meeting of the Texas Society of CPAs in San Diego. Both are Past Presidents of the East Texas Chapter of CPAs and current board members of the Texas Society of CPAs. Rodney is also currently on the nominations committee and serving as chairman of the chapter coordinating steering committee. Jeni Ramsey, CPA certified as Quickbooks ProAdvisor
Jeni Ramsey, Supervisor of Accounting Services for Henry & Peters, recently completed the requirements and testing to become a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. Mrs. Ramsey is a graduate of Texas A&M University and started her career with Henry & Peters in 2003. She provides consulting and accounting services for new business start-ups, software conversions, and has extensive experience with payroll and sales taxes filing requirements.
Dan Griffith obtains CFP certification
Dan Griffith, CPA recently obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation. Mr. Griffith joined Henry & Peters in July 2009 and completed his CFP certification requirements shortly before joining the firm. He earned his Masters in Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and his BA from Wheaton College in 1999. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He and his wife Robyn have two children, Josh and Nathan. |
