Kevan Kirksey, CPA – Promoted to Manager
Kevan was born in Houston and graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Accounting and Finance, and is licensed as a certified public accountant. He completed an internship at Henry & Peters before joining full-time in 2009. He provides audit, review, and compilation services, as well as tax planning and compliance services for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates. His industry concentrations have included construction, oil & gas, non-profits, manufacturing companies, and wholesale and retail sales.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is active in or has been involved with the following organizations: Leadership Tyler, Smith County Historical Society, City of Tyler Traffic Safety Advisory Board, and Glenwood Church of Christ, where he currently is involved with the finance and budget committees as well as adult education ministry.
He enjoys golf, travel, home improvement projects, and following his Houston sports teams.
Brett Morton, CPA – Promoted to Manager
Brett graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree and is licensed as a certified public accountant. He completed an internship at Henry & Peters before joining full-time in 2010. He provides audit and other attestation services, as well as tax planning, reporting, and compliance services. His industry concentrations have included employee benefit plans, oil & gas, non-profits, and banking and financial institutions.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is active in various Stephen F. Austin State University alumni councils and organizations, Junior Achievement of the Greater Tyler Area, and Green Acres Baptist Church. Kenny graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance and is licensed as a certified public accountant. Kenny joined Henry & Peters in 2009 and provides audit and tax services for the East Texas Community as a whole.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He enjoys fishing, various sports activities, and spending time with his wife and son.
