Laura graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Prior to coming to Henry & Peters, Laura worked for over 20 years in the Catholic Dioceses of Beaumont and Tyler as CFO/Director of Finance and 7 years in a small public accounting firm.
Laura is a member of the East Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Before her move to East Texas, she was a member and active volunteer of the Southeast Texas Chapter, where she served as secretary, treasurer, and president. In addition to her activity with TXCPA, Laura has also served on several not-for-profit boards. She was on the Diocesan Fiscal Management Conference Board, the National Catholic Risk Retention Group Board, and the Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas Board. She also worked with the Diocesan Fiscal Managers of Region Ten where she was president for three years.
Laura and her husband Michael spend their time raising miniature horses, chickens, bees, and playing with their two dogs.
