Misty graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Accounting, specializing in Taxation. Prior to joining Henry & Peters, Misty worked for Ernst & Young, LLP in both San Antonio and Dallas from 2004 – 2015.
Misty provides tax planning, reporting, and compliance services for individuals, partnerships and corporations, trusts, and estates as well as consulting services related to income tax accounting and reporting. Her industry concentrations have included developers, owners, and operators of real estate, manufacturing, oil and gas, and professional & personal service entities.
Misty is a member of AICPA and TSCPA and is active or has been involved in the following organizations: East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants where she serves on the continuing education committee, the Junior League of Tyler, the Women’s Fund of Smith County, and current board member of the East Texas Crisis Center.
Misty, and her husband, Steve, have two sons, Stevie and Will. They are members of Marvin Global Methodist Church where Misty has served on the Finance committee and teaches children’s Sunday School. Misty enjoys Aggie athletics and traveling with her family.
